Roof Raccoon (Be Ungovernable)
Roof Raccoon (Be Ungovernable)
Jen Martin
Photography (archival pigment print on acid-free fine art paper)
This mischievous (and dare I say majestic) raccoon was photographed on my neighbor’s roof moments before it pried up the shingles to return to its attic home. After an eviction negotiated with bacon and marshmallows, it was released into a nearby forest, back where it came from. Whether in an attic or forest, it remained gloriously unruly, as raccoons always do-- a lighthearted reminder to stay true to our nature, wherever we settle.
