Wellspring
Wellspring
Peter Dougherty
Oil on Canvas
"Wellspring" presents organic matter as fountain like force, focusing on the commonality of different animal morphologies. The painting is combination of multiple images and figures palette knifed over each other so that the texture preserves what has been covered. The confusing and chaotic atmosphere gives way to more a clear direction as the various images layer over each other unfold.
