Wendy Bellermann
acrylic paint
"Zappa" is a black-and-white portrait of Frank Zappa captures the wit, irreverence, and unmistakable personality of one of music’s great originals. Inspired by a long evening of listening to Zappa's oeuvre, the work uses bold acrylic strokes and a stark monochromatic palette to bring out Zappa’s iconic expression and rebellious spirit. The result is a lively, slightly mischievous portrait that brings a dose of rock ’n’ roll attitude to any living or working space.
