I am Erika Hurtado, a self-taught mixed-media abstract artist based in New Jersey. My practice centers on the dynamic interplay of acrylics, inks, and fluid art techniques. Drawn to the unpredictable nature of fluid mediums, I build rich, texture-driven layers that give each canvas a tangible sense of depth and movement. By embracing both structure and spontaneity, my work invites viewers to look closely, explore the tactile surfaces, and find their own personal connection and meaning within the abstract forms.
