Courtney Inge
Acrylic on wood
I do a drawing a day. Atleast. When I tell Most people this they say “really?” Really. First thing in the morning after I journal. “What if you miss a day?” I’ve missed fewer than five days in the past 7 years. I make up for it at night if I can. Or do extra the next day. It’s a grounding process for me. Therapeutic. I feel off if I don’t do it. I like exploring different mediums. On weekends I go long sometimes making 5 or 6. Maybe doing a painting because I have the time to let paint dry. I try not to watch it. The truth is we all have reasons to not draw everyday. “I suck” or “I had to do something else”. I get it. Me too. But in the time I find a reason to not, I probably could’ve just drawn something.
