Lonely Pine at Grove Park

Jessica Ford

Oil on canvas

This isolated pine tree had a jaunty lean and broad reach, drawing attention and providing an ideal, pine needle-padded location for an evening picnic that could be interrupted with frisbee, soccer, or kite flying. Its loneliness was inviting. The tree was removed during the rehabilitation of the field at Grove Park.
