Music of the Sky Sings the Sand to Sleep
Mary Shadbolt
Acrylic on paper
"Music of the Sky Sings the Sand to Sleep" is inspired by the warm ribbons that cross the sky at the end of the day down the shore. You can often find me sitting on the sand waiting to hear the sun kiss the water as it sets. Through the paint I created a a multi-layered exploration of color via painting on a gelli plate and pulling a final monoprint. This piece would be exceptional wherever you most need a place to reconnect with nature.
