Spring Springs Eternal
Kirk Dackow
Assorted hardwoods, Holly, Resin
This piece was envisioned and created in the dead of winter, and served as a personal reminded to the artist that Spring was indeed coming! This piece consists of an intricate collection of contrasting hardwoods and holly, united with resin and transformed into a distinctive turned vessel. The seemingly random arrangement of wood fragments creates a lively mosaic of colors, shapes, and textures, and holds an egg made of turned holly, symbolizing both hope and new beginnings.
