GET YOUR S*IT TOGETHER:
WHAT WILL I NEED TO HAVE reADY?
We recommend you get organized by gathering the following together BEFORE you start the submission proecess, so you're ready to complete it 15-20 minutes!
1. Your website URL
2. Your IG handle
3. Your Artist Bio (see tip below)
4. A clear photo of each artwork (see tip below)
5. A description paragraph of each artowk we can use to share the meaning behind your work with buyers (see tip below)
HOW TO WRITE A GOOD ArtisT BIO
Use these sentence frames, or a similar structure:
- (Name) is an artist from (xxx) who finds inspiration from...
- (Names' work) explores / celebrates / seeks to create...
- Find more of (name's work) at...
Example:
Natalie, the creator behind Imperfect Studio, is an artist in Maplewood, NJ who finds inspiration from daily life lessons, experiences, and the gifts of imperfections. She is a mother, former educator, and activist, and her work seeks to inspire a return to creativity and action through graphic designs, bright colors, and unexpected combinations of canvas and frame. HOW TO NAME Your PHotoS to SUBMIT
Name each file as follows:
Last Name.First Name.Title
Ex:
If you are submitting 3 pieces of art, you will upload 3 photos. 1 photo per piece of art. Name each piece with your name and title:

HOW TO WRITE A GOOD PIECE DESCriptioN
Use these sentence frames, or a similar structure:
- (This piece) was inspired by...
- (Artist) sought to explore / celebrate / inspire...
- The use of (media) creates an (xxx) experience for the viewer (include where the piece would look best -- ie, kitchen, bedroom, etc)
Example:
"If You're a Bird, I'm a Bird" was inspired by the reflection between a parent and child. In this work, Crandall seeks to explore imagery of parenting in fraught times, while creating stability. The use of graphic shapes in acrylic paint contrasted with a thrifted frame create a calming yet energetic experience for the viewer, making this piece especially suited for a living or working space.
THIRD -
submit via artcloud
The first time you submit:
(1) REQUEST AN INVITE
CLICK HERE to request an invite to our gallery program, ArtCloud. We will send you an email with a link to use.
(2) SET UP YOUR ARTCLOUD PROFILE
Click the link in the email you receive to start a FREE profile in ArtCloud. You can add details to your ArtCloud page or leave it blank, Click "CONTINUE" in the top right hand corner to submit your art,
If you have submitted before, you can skip and start here:
(3) ADD INVENTORY
On the left menu bar, click "Inventory." Add each artwork as its own Inventory listing, Use the "Uploads" tab to add at least 1 photo (or more) of each work. Fill our dimensions and price. Use the "Notes" field at the bottom to add a description for each piece.
(4) COOL, NOW YOU HAVE INVEntory!
You will see each Artwork you've added in the "Inventory: tab on the left side. Keep adding works! You can add 5 per $25 submission fee.
(5) CREATE A CONSIGNMENT LIST
To submit your work from your ArtCloud profile to our gallery, click "Consignments" on the left hand menu bar, Then click the blue "Add Consignment" button in the top right hand corner.
(6) SEND US YOUR LIST
Name the Consignment List by the MONTH you are applying for. In "Recipient Gallery" select "The Art Generators Gallery," then click to add the pieces from your consignment list. If you send more than 5 at once, make sure to pay more than 1 $25 fee, Click SEND to send the list to us!
(7) PAY THE SUBMiSSION FEE
CLICK HERE to pay the $25 submission fee. If you sent more than 5 works, you need to add more than 1 of these to cart. Honor system, please! $25 per every 5 pieces submitted.
Do Not Pass Go until you send in the $25!!
(8) YOU're DONE; WE'll review!
Once you submit the Consignment list to us AND pay the fee, we will review submissions on a rolling basis, You'll receive an email back with invite and delivery details if we would like to include your works in an upcoming show. Follow those instructions to deliver to us!
