WHO ARE THE ART GENERATORS?
The Art Generators are four artists who collaborate together to energize community spirit and creativity through art events. The TAG Team believes art is for everyone, and community is everything. In fall 2026, we opened a gallery at 14 Newark way in Maplewood, New Jersey, and are seeking a wide range of art to display and share with art-lovers!
GALLERY DETAILS:
The Art Generators Gallery (TAGG) will feature and celebrate art at accessible prices ($2 - $2,000), with art changing monthly. Each month, the gallery will hold a First Friday Art Party, launching new work on the walls for the upcoming month. Our first ever launch party had a line down the block!
ARTISTS: WE ARE SEEKING ART!
We are seeking all types of art for the gallery! This includes wall-hanging, sculpture, ceramics, hand-made jewelry and more. If you think it's art, we'd love to see it!
A Tip for Wall-Hanging Art: Wall-hanging art must be FRAMED and ready to hang at the time you submit the photos! We are ok with wire hung or saw-tooth hanger, but your work MUST be in a frame at the time you submit photos. We want to see it in its complete form (unless the work itself is meant to be viewed without a frame or is complete in a canvas as is, etc.). We strongly prefer you do NOT use a black plastic frame... we think they start to look cheap and can take the quality of your work down. Please get creative, Michaels / Ikea / thrift stores are full of cool, affordable frames. Plastic white or red is preferable to black, for example. But please ONLY submit the photos in this form once the piece is FULLY framed so we can consider it in the overall gallery aesthetic. See some shots of our walls here for inspiration.
Pricing recommendation: You will submit your own price for artwork, and it will be up to us to keep that price or increase based on our experience so far. We sell a range of items in our gallery, from $2 - $2,000. So far we've seen a lot of success with pieces priced in the $150-300 range, and then also surprisingly several pieces bought more than $800. You may want to consider submitting a range of works with lower and higher prices. Our gallery will only insure up to $1,000.
FYI: When we hang art, we mix pieces up across artists to create a visual feel and sell-ability. If your pieces are a series, we cannot commit they will be hung together. Just trust us and our eye! If the pieces you deliver are warped or not framed well, we reserve the right to ask you to re-do or not hang. We strongly suggest using gallery-grade canvas, or framing the canvas.
SUBMISSION:
We use the platform ArtCloud for our submission and inventory process; this also allows us to update artists when sales are made (yay!) and pay out sales cuts at the end of each month.
Artists may apply up to 5 pieces of art per submission form, at $25 per form*. The fee is paid via our ArtCloud website during the submission process. No other payment forms are accepted. Artists may submit as many forms as they’d like, with no more than 5 pieces per form, at a fee of $25 per form submitted.
TAGG will review submissions on a rolling basis, and reach out to artists for art selection for a specific exhibit month -- see below. If art is selected and sold from the gallery, TAGG will retain a 40% commission fee for any art sold.
Gallery submission fees are non-refundable, regardless of acceptance decision to the gallery.

*Where does this fee go? Submission fees can sometimes raise questions. We get it. As artists ourselves, we want to be as transparent as possible. Simply put, our gallery has bills! We've literally got to keep the lights on, and that costs money. The time and energy it takes us to review submissions, promote events, hang and label art, ship, maintain our website & social media, and STAFF the gallery to sell your amazing works is also substantial.
